For families who are unable to receive midwifery care or feel most comfortable and secure bringing their baby earthside in a hospital, monitrice support can be a wonderful option.
A monitrice is a labor support professional with specialized medical training, making this care ideal for mothers planning a hospital birth but wishing to labor at home as long as possible.
While you labor at home, we’ll be there to monitor both mother and baby’s vital signs, check dilation upon request, and provide comforting measures, emotional support, and experienced guidance—helping you feel safe and cared for before transitioning to the hospital.
What you can expect:
Two prenatal visits to discuss your goals, preferences, and create a personalized birth plan.
Maternity resources and education.
Labor, birth, and postpartum support.
Initial guidance for both breastfeeding or bottle-feeding.
One at-home visit for postpartum support at your convenience.

Yes, our biller will still work with you to submit a claim to your insurance for prenatal and pospartum care.

No, you will still have to pay the whole fee for midwifery care. The way the reimbursement process works is you will pay up front for care and our biller will work with you to send the required information to your insurance. Once this process is complete you will receive a check from your insurance.
